FAQs

General

We want you to feel comfortable and stylish at our summer wedding! The dress code is dressy casual, so you can wear something that is both comfortable and appropriate for the occasion. We recommend lightweight fabrics and breathable materials to keep you cool during the warm afternoon and consider bringing a wrap or light jacket for the evening.
In Manitoba, July is typically one of the warmest months of the year, with daytime temperatures averaging around 25°C (77°F) and nighttime temperatures around 14°C (57°F). However, it's important to keep in mind that weather can be unpredictable, and it's always a good idea to check the forecast in the days leading up to the wedding.
Yes, our wedding does have a theme. We're going for a rustic, nature-inspired vibe with a color palette centered around sage green/sea glass, which we believe will perfectly complement the beautiful outdoor setting of our special day. However, we want to emphasize that guests are not required to follow any specific dress code or theme - our main priority is that everyone feels comfortable and enjoys themselves.

We appreciate your timely response so that we can make final arrangements for our special day. Thank you!
While we'll be sad to miss you on our special day, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and we want you to take care of yourself and your priorities. Please don't feel guilty or embarrassed about letting us know that you won't be able to make it. We appreciate your consideration and thoughtfulness in letting us know in advance. You can do this by sending us an email, giving us a call, or sending us a message through our wedding website.
Absolutely! We love kids and would be thrilled to have them join us on our special day. We welcome children of all ages to our wedding. We kindly ask that parents keep a close eye on their children during the ceremony and reception to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment. We also recommend that parents bring along any items that might help keep their children comfortable and entertained throughout the event.
The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. However, if you wish to give a gift, we will gratefully accept a contribution towards our dream house.
We understand the importance of catering to various dietary needs and ensuring that all our guests can enjoy the meal. Please let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP, so we can make the necessary arrangements.
No, we will not be serving alcohol at our wedding. We want to create a fun and safe environment for all of our guests, and we believe that an alcohol-free celebration is the best way to do that. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Venue

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be taking place at the same location to make it easy for our guests to enjoy the celebration without worrying about transportation. You can find the exact address of the venue on your invitation, or by checking our website's venue page.
Our wedding ceremony will be held outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Following the ceremony, we will move to the reception area, which will be held under a tent. This will provide us with the best of both worlds - the natural beauty of the outdoors, and the comfort and protection of a covered space. While we are hopeful for good weather, we also know that Mother Nature can be unpredictable. In the event of rain, we have plans in place to ensure that the ceremony and reception can still take place as scheduled.
Getting to our venue is easy! You can find directions and a map on the venue section of our website. Simply head to the venue page and you'll find all the information you need to get to our location. If you need additional help with directions or transportation, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're more than happy to help you make arrangements to ensure you arrive at our special day comfortably and on time.
Yes, there is plenty of parking available at the venue for our wedding guests. We recommend arriving a little early to ensure you have time to find a spot and make your way to the ceremony. If you have any specific questions about parking or accessibility, please don't hesitate to contact us. We want to make sure your arrival is as smooth as possible, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the celebration.
We kindly ask that our guests respect the number of seats reserved on their invitation. Due to limited capacity at our venue, we are unable to accommodate additional guests beyond what is indicated on each invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you and the guests who are able to join us on our special day!

Ceremony

We recommend that guests arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the start time of the ceremony. This will give you plenty of time to find parking, check in with us, and find your seat before the ceremony begins. We also encourage you to take your time and explore the venue before the ceremony starts. We have a beautiful outdoor space and we want you to be able to take it all in and enjoy the scenery. If you're unable to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time, don't worry. We understand that sometimes life can be unpredictable, and we'll be happy to see you whenever you arrive.
We kindly ask that our guests refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony. We want to make sure our professional photographer is able to capture all the special moments of our ceremony, and we also want our guests to be fully present and enjoy the moment with us. We will have plenty of opportunities for photos after the ceremony, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making our day truly special.
After the ceremony, we will have a photo session for the bridal party and family members. During this time, guests are welcome to head to the reception area and enjoy some light snacks and beverages. We will also have outdoor games set up for those who want to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings and have some fun. We encourage all guests to take their time and enjoy the venue during this time. Whether you want to relax with a drink and some food, or play some outdoor games with friends and family, we want you to feel at home and enjoy your time with us. Once the photo session is over, we will join you in the reception area for a night of celebration.
